Florence H.L. (Sharpe) Keris of Needham died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Newfield House in Plymouth. She was 91.

Mrs. Keris had lived in Needham for 58 years. She taught elementary school in Newton at the Claflin and Horace Mann schools from 1936 to 1939. In 1939, she married and moved to Needham. In 1964 she opened Off the Record, a music shop in Needham Center. Mrs. Keris owned Off the Record until 1979. She was a 45-year member of the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in Needham.

Wife for 53 years of the late Stephen J. Keris, she leaves her children, Patricia Ann Corbo of Littleton, Colo., and Stephen J. Keris Jr. of Plymouth; her brother, George Sharpe of Derry, N.H.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was held Thursday, May 18, at the Eaton Funeral Home of Needham.

Burial was in Needham Cemetery.
