Donald A. Zasimowich, Loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed from this earth on July 24, 2010, in Dallas, TX. He was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Edgeley, ND. Served in the US Navy during the Korean War and in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired in 1970. Joined the Dallas Police Dept. in 1970, and retired in1988. He then became a police dispatcher and retired in 1996. Was an active member of the Dallas Elks #71, and life member of VFW Post 6796. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and belonged to the NBEA and has been to many ballrooms throughout the US. Preceded in death by wife, Audrey Ann (Boldt) ,sons; Michael and David, and sister; Reva Thompson. Survived by son, Joel (Ginger); Graham, Wa., daughters, Lea White; Mesquite, Tx., and Sue Randall; Dallas, Tx. Grandchildren are Michael, Jr., Trisha, Donna, and Stacey Zasimowich, Jeffery Randall, James and Eric White, Lisa Ingram, and Stefanie Noland. Great-grandchildren: Tristen and Cyndel White, Jordan Ingram, Teran Noland, Jayson and Jaymie Zasimowich, Kimberly Leighman, Jaxxon Zasimowich-White, and Taryn Schwarz. Sister; Inez Face; MI., brothers, Richard; Va., Norman and Gene Vernon; Mi. Special Friend, Norma Papazoni. Family to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wed. July 28, at Eastgate Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 9:00 a.m. Thurs., July 29, at the funeral home, with interment to follow at DFW National Cemetery.
