Mary Adelaide, daughter of Robert and Hannah Wright Marshall was born in Edwards county, III., March 4, 1858, and died at the family home near Parkersburg, III., on May 12, 1932; aged 74years.
On October 27, 1881. she was married to Charles H. Sharp, and he with the folowing children survive her; Mrs. Jennie Mundy, of Mt. Carmel, III., Wilbur C. Sharp of Chicago; Horace M. Sharp of East St. Louis; Ethel E. Sharp of Anna and Mrs. Ella Rash and Aaron G. Sharp of Parkersburg. There are also thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a number of nephews and nieces and many friends who regret her passing.
About 35 Years ago Mr. and Mrs. Sharp united with the Christian church at Parkersburg under the ministry of Rev. J.S.Rose. She was faithful to her profession until the end.
By the relatives and friends she will be remembered as a faithful
companion, a devoted mother and a kindly neighbor and friend. She was a quiet and unassuming woman who never spoke ill of any one, and will be missed in her home and the entire community.
Funeral services at the home were conducted by Rev. Durham on May
14, 1932, and she was laid to rest in Marion cemetery beside her parents.
