Funeral services for Gerald C. Sharp, 76, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Deacon Don Ries will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006, with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Gerald was born March 4, 1930 in Cameron, to Homer Neal Sharp and Jewel Pouncey Sharp. He passed away March 7, 2006 in Rosenberg.
Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Homer Neal Sharp; his mother, Jewel Pouncey Sharp; his first wife, Nancy Ann Sharp; his second wife, Virginia Ray Sharp; his brothers, Russell G. Sharp and Frank B. Sharp; and his sister, Norma B. Sharp.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Sharp Sr. and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Melissa Sharp Rivera and her husband, Roy; step-daughter, Wanda Oberhoff and her husband, Kenneth; step-son, Luther Saage; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; dear friend, Celestine Spacek; his poodle, Mandy; along with other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers are Joey Orsak, Zachary Rivera, Alan Oberhoff Sr., Kenneth Oberhoff, Matthew Sharp Sr., Roy Rivera, Matthew Sharp Jr., and Alan Oberhoff Jr.
