Janet Giller, 77, born Janet Rosalie Shapiro in New York City on February 21, 1930 passed away on October 24, 2007. She will be missed and remembered dearly by her beloved friend, companion, husband of 21 years, Melvin Giller; her children, Scott Howard (Juli), Deborah Howard Jacob (Jeff), Sherril Howard (Tim); her stepchildren, Marty Giller (Jennifer), Melissa; and her grandchildren, Adam, Aron, Elana, Casey, Matthew (Johanna), Bobby, Jonathan; and many friends and family. She was a woman of great beauty and with immense dedication to her grandchildren and friends. She lived her life fully in Los Angeles, as a full time mother involved in activities from volunteer work and little league to community theatre. And the last 16 years in Palm Desert filled with friends, tap dance, knitting, Yiddish and traveling with her beloved Mel. She will be deeply missed by all. A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City (Palm Springs).
