Charles Lewis Seward, 55, of Manson died Sunday, Dec. 14 at his residence after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Warrenton by the Rev. James Pettaway. Burial was in the Burchette Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Manson.
Mr. Seward, son of Peter and Mary Seward, was born Aug. 1, 1953 in Warren County.
He was a member of Burchette Chapel United Church of Christ.
Educated in the Warren County school system, Mr. Seward was employed at Swing Transport as a mechanic until his health began to fail.
Survivors include his parents, Peter and Mary Seward of Manson; two daughters, Tisha Taylor of Henderson and Shelia Alston of Manson; three brothers, McKinley Seward of Manson, Tony Seward of Bracey, Va. and Peter Seward of Lawrence, Mass.; five sisters, Patsy Fredrick of Philadelphia, Pa., Joyce Miller of Ridgeway; Beatrice Watkins of Richmond, Va., Emma Gregory of Manson and Dianne Watkins of Richmond, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Boyd's Funeral Services.
