Janet Setser Blankenship
March 3, 1958 - July 6, 2015 Janet Setser Blankenship, 57, of Mullens formerly of Tomahawk, KY passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence after fighting a long courageous battle of small cell lung cancer.
Born March 3, 1958 at Paintsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Buford Lee and Betty Jean (Fraley) Setser.
Janet was a CNA for 14 years. Her life was her children and grandchildren; she loved taking care of her family and traveling.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary "Bubbo" Setser and Johnny Ray Setser; and three sisters, Retha Kay Whitt, Carol Jean Spence, and Sharon Gay Jude.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Betty Michelle Harris and her husband, Roland of Mullens and Amanda Sue Hall and her husband, Jason of Crumpler; one son, Stephen E. Blankenship and his wife, Deanna of Barkers Ridge; five grandchildren, Brittany and Kaitlyn Meddings, Alexis Hall, and Stevie and Hunter Blankenship; three sisters, Sue Wyatt Kapper of Akron, OH, Gladys Christian of Stotesbury, and Brenda Spence of Tomahawk, KY; two brothers, Blaine Setser and Alvis Ray Setser both of Inez, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Family Cemetery, Barkers Ridge.
