Brenda Joyce Kaschafsky Sessions, 56, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Yalobusha County on Enid Lake.

Mrs. Sessions moved to the Oxford area with her family in 1989 from Bowling Green, KY. She had worked as a sales associate for J.C. Penney and as a cash office operator at Belk Department Stores. An accomplished artist, she took pleasure in arts and crafts, gardening, reading, photography and cooking. Mrs. Sessions, who belonged to the North Mississippi Bass Club, was avid when it came to fishing with her husband, Joe. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and her two dogs. Mrs. Sessions was a member of the Lutheran faith and graduated high school from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in 1973.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00pm with Dr. Eric Hankins officiating. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visiting hours will be from 4:00pm until the time of service on Thursday.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Sessions of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Jane't (Chris) Parker Mahew and Barbara (Barry) Magee , both of Oxford, MS; two stepchildren, Joelee (Bridgett) Sessions and Pat Sessions, both of Brandon, MS; two brothers, Arnold Kaschafsky of Columbia Station, OH and Robin Kaschafsky of Port Huron, MI; and 9 grandchildren.

Her parents, Earl and Barbara Kaschafsky, her grandparents, William F. and Lydia R. Kaschafsky and Carl and Stella Beutner, all preceded Mrs. Sessions in death.

Memorials may be made to Tribute Program, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
