Shirley (Sena) Rael, May 4, 1958-Feb. 9, 2010, died following a long illness.

Shirley was called to heaven to be with our lord, for it was her time to go. She joins her madrina and aunt, Florence Garcia, her uncle Eloy Sena, uncle Joe Sena and her grandfather Cesario Sena in heaven.

A beautiful daughter of heart and soul, there was no other to compare. She was the little mommy to her brothers, and daddy's girl. To her mother, she was her right hand at everything. Her mother says she was her precious daughter and will be missed forever.

Her son, Michael Rael, had already lost his father, Chris Rael; now, too, his mother. Michael has two daughters, Sadie and Jaden, and they all live in Soquel, Calif.

There were many survivors, including Margarita Sena, her mother; stepfather Leo Vigil; brothers Jose, David and Daniel (Rosie); stepsisters, Rebecca and Elizabeth Vigil; and stepmother Linda Vigil. She is also survived by aunts, Maria (Sena) Trujillo (Ramon), Carmen Torres, Elvira Sena and Ruth Sena and uncles James J. Garcia, Cesario Sena Jr. (Emily), Manuel Montoya (Modesta); and cousins Michael Castañeda, Carla Rubio, Lou Ray Salazar, Sandra Salazar and Anthony Salazar, MaryAnn Sena, Joe Sena (Debra), Jane Lucero (Archie), Patsy Sena, Frank Sena (Jean), Linda Sena, Marc Sena, Michael Sena, James Garcia Jr. (Ruby), Richard Garcia (Carla), Tomas Garcia, Tony, Steve, Julie and Rosanna Sena and Amber Muhlhauber (Peter) and Jim Bernal.

Also surviving her are her companion of 23 years, Jim Coral, and his mother, Margaret Coral, and special friend Cindy Lopez and Kos Kos of San Leandro, Calif. Her pet lab, Cesar, also survives her.

Shirley suffers no more, for she is with God Almighty. She is now an angel looking over me. And I hear her say, "Mother, I'm happy here. I'll watch over you forever. And heaven is beautiful! I suffer no more!"

Shirley was cremated in Nevada and will be buried next to her grandfather, Cesario Sena and next to her cousin, Jerry Sena, at the cemetery in Sapello, N.M. The burial will be announced at a later date due to weather conditions.

Money donations will be gratefully accepted and can be donated to the Bank of Las Vegas in Shirley's name, Shirley Mae Rael, in care of her mother, Margarita Sena. Thank you and God bless you all.
