Calvin Seitter was born October 1, 1925, in Geary, Oklahoma, the son of William C. and Grace M. (Emmons) Seitter. He passed away on March 5, 2012, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He graduated from Geary High School and Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater. While in Stillwater he met Loraine Groves and they were united in marriage August 29, 1948, in Ensign, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII in the South Pacific China. He was a retired educator teaching at Rush Springs, Hinton, and Maple Schools. He enjoyed traveling, antique cars, metal sculpting, genealogy, and OSU sports. He was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for 46 years.

Calvin and Loraine had four children: Calvin Byron (Barney), Linda Gayle, Stanley Wayne, and Lyle Dale Seitter.
