RITES HELD FOR MRS. ANNA SECORD
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Miner Chapel for Mrs. Anna Secord, 67, of Gladwin, who died Tuesday at Midland Hospital. The Rev. Carl Briggs officiated and burial was in Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Secord was born on June 16, 1895, in Secord Township, and spent most of her lifetime here. She was a great granddaughter of Marvel Secord, first white settler in Gladwin County.
Survivors include three sons, George McDonald, of Midland and Myron McDonald, of Port Huron, and Fred Ensign, of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Roberts, of Gladwin; four brothers, Charley Secord, of Oregon, William Secord, of Wolverine, Jerome Secord, of Clio, and Ralph Secord, of Rochester; five sisters, Mrs. Beryl Gifford, of Mt. Rose, Mrs. Mary Gifford, and Mrs. Effie Breecher, of Flint, Mrs. Dorothy Tolles, of Gaylord, and Mrs. Emma Bettis, of Vanderbilt; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
