She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Scully and was born in Middletown on February 11, 1930. She graduated from Central Connecticut State College and was a realtor for many years in Trumbull and Andover, MA.
Besides her husband, Merwin Anderson, she is survived by four sons and their wives, Douglas of Golden, CO, Richard of Indianapolis, IN, Robert of Trumbull and Theodore of Annapolis, MD; two brothers, Robert Scully of Portland and Richard Scully of Cottonwood, AZ; a sister, Margaret Daly of Middletown; and nine grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Margaret's Church and was active in AAUW. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends and knitting for family members.
Funeral procession will leave The Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church in Madison on Friday, November 2. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Burial will be at the Scully Family Plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Portland. Published in The Hartford Courant on October 31, 2001
