HUNT, Kate K. - 93, Greenfield, Queens Co., passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006, in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia. Born in Brechin, Scotland, she was the youngest daughter of the late Charles and Susan Scott, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan Hunt. She is survived by her daughter, Christine (David) Bolivar; grandson, Alan Parker; great-grandson, Kyle Parker, and nephews, George and Alistair Scott. In 1945 she came to Canada as a war bride but Scotland remained an important part of her life. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Services Ltd. There will be no funeral by request. A graveside service will be held in Pine Rest Cemetery, Greenfield, at 1 p.m. Monday, January 30, with Pastor Tom Davidson officiating. Following the service there will be a reception in the vestry of Greenfield United Baptist Church. Donations in memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
