William W. Scott 1980
William Walter Scott, 78, of Rose Bay, formerly of Norwell, Mass., died Sunday at his winter home in Inverness, Florida.
Born in Jefferson County, Ohio, he had lived in Norwell for 25 years.
Mr. Scott was formerly employed as caretaker and chauffeur for the Sparrell Funeral Home in Norwell. He had also worked at the Quincy Shipyard and at one time was a self-employed landscaper in Norwell.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion of Norwell.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arlean (Backman) Scott; a brother, Robert of Barberton, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Rilla Ferguson of Inverness, florida.
Funeral service was held on January 12 from Sweeny's Funeral Home, Lunenburg, Rev. G.S. Murray officiated. Burial took place in Bayport Cemetery.
