Ms. Annie L. Scott, age 55, died at Fernandina Beach, Fla., on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015. Born Feb. 19, 1960, in Fernandina Beach, she lived in Fernandina Beach most of all her life.
She was an amazing mother and homemaker. Family was her priority in life as she brought out the best in each of us and knew that food was a way to our hearts. Annie Scott had the ability to touch many souls and fill it with love and laughter.
Preceded in death by her mother Bessie Mae Scott, her father Thomas Scott, sister Lilian Ulmer, her daughter Tasha L. Scott, her aunt Cecil Jenkins and cousin Ava Brewton. Survivors include her longtime companion William Nelson of Fernandina; her aunts Ella Mae Boney, Sheldonia Thomas and Shirley Thomas; her uncle James Thomas; her brothers Ray Scott and Robert Scott of Jacksonville and Walter Scott of Gainesville; her children Angelia Scott of Jacksonville and Jonathan Scott (Francheska) of Fernandina; her grandchildren Kymal Scott (Joy), Tasha Scott (Anthony), Thomas Scott, Jonathan Scott Jr. and Alyana Scott; her great-grandchildren Kymal Scott Jr., Kali Scott and Anastasia Scott; her cousin Robin Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, 1 p.m., at Greater Fernandina Beach Church of God, 305 S. Fourth St., Apostle Jeanette Richo, pastor. Remains may be viewed at the church Friday, 4-7 p.m., and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
