~~~When I Must Leave You~~~
When I must leave you for a little while-
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years.
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same.
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and
hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die
For I am waiting for you in the sky!
Apparently this cemetery no longer exsists, everyone
buried there was moved to another cemetery because a dam
was being built, below is what I found online.
Joseph Philibert Cemetery
(Located near Kimberling City, Missouri)
(Transcription of lists by Jo Dunne)
Before Table Rock Lake was formed in the 1950's twenty area cemeteries had to be relocated. These twenty were combined into one, including the old Philibert Cemetery. The list below was obtained from the Army Corps of
Engineers Little Rock, Arkansas, and while there are no dates of burial it does give names in instances where graves had markers. There were over two hundred graves relocated to the new Philibert Cemetery that did not have
markers. We are grateful to Foster McConnell of the Army Corps of Engineers for providing this information. Burials in the new cemetery after May, 1957
are not listed.
