Mildred C. Schroeder, 85, 715 S. Michigan Ave., died Friday afternoon, July 15, 1994, at 2288 S. State Road 3.

Born June 3, 1909 in Millhousen, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hardebeck Butz. She married Lawrence E. Schroeder on Sept. 6, 1944, and he survives.

She was employed for 36 years as a Greensburg Daily News motor route carrier. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and attended Millhousen School.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Ronald J. Schroeder of Greensburg; two daughters-in-law, Jenell Schroeder of Greensburg and Ruth Offutt of Defiance, Ohio; one brother, Harold Butz of Norway, Iowa; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son; Kenneth Offutt; five brothers, Alphons, Berthold, Vincent, Innocent and Edmund Butz; and one sister, Agnes Hoeing.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Reverend Thomas Amsden officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

A Rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greensburg.
