Anna "Mary" Elizabeth Schnieders married Frank Borgmeyer, a widower with three children. Mary and Frank had two children, John Henry and Anna Maria Helena. Mary and both of her children drowned on February 9, 1871, when the wagon they were riding in broke through the ice on the Moreau River. They are buried in St. Peter Cemetery in Jefferson City. Frank later married Mary Stegeman and they became the parents of Bernard "Ben" Borgmeyer.
