Leatha Virginia Frances Dotson of Owensville, Mo. departed this life on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville. She had reached the age of 77 years, five months and 16 days.

Leatha was born in Owensville on August 22, 1936 to the late August John and Edith Mamie (Feldmiller) Schmiedeskamp. On June 16, 1951 in Arkansas she was united in marriage to Charles D. Dotson. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Schmiedeskamp.

Her survivors include her husband, Charles; daughter, Charlotte Pinnell and husband Donald of Cuba; brothers, Bob Schmiedeskamp and wife Nadine of Rolla and Harlan Schmiedeskamp and wife Mary of Owensville; sister, Barbara Farris and husband Earl of Owensville; grandchildren, Daniel, Roger and Anna Pinnell; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Wyatt Pinnell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Jackie Asher officiating. Burial will be in the Countryside Memorial Gardens.
