Ramona "Monie" Schmidt Bang, passway on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Martha Schmidt; infant daughter, Vickie Lynn; sisters, Irene Loewen, Laura Eaves, and Frances "Tudie" Berry; brothers, Louis Schmidt, and Erwin "Buddy" Schmidt. Ramona is survived by her husband, Roger Bang; daughters, Jolene Finke and her husband Douglas, and Paula Bang; grandsons, Gregory and Ryan Finke; sister, Ruby Kowis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She has been a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 40 years. Ramona was born in Cypress, Texas and graduated from Cypress-Fairbanks High School in 1948, and has been a lifelong resident in the Cy-Fair Area. She worked for the Cypress-Fairbanks School District for 37 years, and is the namesake of Ramona Schmidt Bang elementary school.
