Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Katie (Maderia) Schmeck.
Schmeck was employed for 50 years as an assistant mortician at Francis F Seidel Funeral Home Inc., retiring in 1987.
Surviving are her half sister, Miriam, widow of Harry Herb, a resident of Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center; and a nephew, Richard Good, with whom she resided.
Also surviving are several other nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery. [Source: Reading Eagle, January 10, 1995]
