Billye Louyse Scarborough Allen entered into rest on May 14, 2008.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Chapel-College Station, with Rev. Chris Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery. Visitation will be held, Friday, May 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born December 29, 1926 to Erma Runyon and Frank Scarborough. She married the love of her life, Thomas Jefferson Allen on December 15, 1946. Their lives journeyed through Marathon, Alpine, Marfa, Pecos and College Station. They celebrated their love for 54 beautiful years. They were blessed with three children and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Billye will be remembered for her loving and sweet nature. She loved being with family and friends and treasured those sweet memories. She loved the Lord and lived life as an example to others as a child of God and as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved playing 42 and bridge with her friends of 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Forrest Frank Allen; a brother, R.H. Hamilton; and her husband, Tom.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Desiree Allen Marek and Patrick of College Station; a son, Thomas Jefferson Allen of Madisonville; grandchildren, Laetatia Marek McMullin and her husband, Brian of the Woodlands; Summer Marek Zimmerman and husband, David of College Station; Patrick Allen Marek of Bryan, Thomas Jason Allen and Michelle of Archer City; great-grandchildren, Hallie, Ty, Zoey, Jolee Zimmerman of College Station, Alexandra, Olivia and Eliza McMullin of the Woodlands, Christopher Noah Allen of Archer City; a sister and brother-in-law, Joy Ree and Billy Fred Stafford of Stephenville Texas.

Memorials may be made to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Attn: Tributes in memory of Billye Louyse Scarbourgh Allen, 4801 La Crosse Ave., Austin, TX 78739-1702.
