CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Rosa Mae S. Richard, age 88, the former Rosa Mae Savoie, who passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Evangeline Oaks Guest House in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro.
Mrs. Richard was a resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro and a member of the Bonne Mort Society, St. Anne Society and the Ladies Altar Society. Mrs. Richard enjoyed going to the casino and praying the rosary.
Survivors include one son, Edgar Richard, Jr. and his wife, Glenda, of Carencro; one daughter, Dianne Richard and her husband, James Richard, Jr., of Lewisburgh; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Richard, Brody Richard and his wife, Kayla, and Dustin Richard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Richard, Sr. of Carencro; her parents, Moise Savoie and the former, Anna Daigle, both natives of Bristol; and eight brothers and sisters.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Avenue was in charge of arrangements.
