Mrs. Conarroe was a telephone operator for GTE for 40 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member and elder of Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church; was chaplain and member of VFW Post 1154 Auxiliary and MOCA; and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Donald L. Conarroe of Lafayette and Charles Conarroe of Indianapolis; a stepson, William Conarroe of Douglas, AZ; a stepdaughter, Nancy Ware of Danville, CA; three sisters, Lucretia Hand, Dorothy (Mrs. Don) Shumate, both of Lafayette, and Roberta (Mrs. Jack) Beaman of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Homer Sparger of Lafayette.
