Anna was born in Stigliano, Italy. She immigrated to the United States with her father, Giuseppe, and sister, Lucia, on 6 August 1900, arriving in New York City aboard the SS Aller. She settled with her family in Yonkers, New York. She married Antonio Giannantonio, also from Stigliano. The couple had four daughters Mary, Mildred, Lucy and Margaret.

MRS. ANTONIO GIANNATONIO Lived Here 62 Years

Mrs. Anna Giannatonio. 78, of 183 Oak St., widow of Antonio Giannatonio, died yesterday at her home after a short illness. Born in Stigliano, Italy, on Jan 11, 1885(?), a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Amato Sarubbi, she came to the United States and Yonkers in 1900. She was married on Dec. 23, 1900 at St. Anthony's Church on Willow St. Her husband, who died in 1918, operated a steamship agency here. Mrs. Giannatonio was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joseph ( Mary) Brue, Mrs. Anthony (Millie) Fugassi and Mrs. Lucy Romano, all of Yonkers; a sister, Mrs. Peter (Lucy) Petrocclli of Elmhurst, L. I.; a brother, Felix A. Sarubbi, of Yonkers; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Mrs. Margaret Muscente and sister of the late P. A. and Peter Sarubbi, all of Yonkers.
