Clela Charlene "Sity" Sandridge

Clela "Sity" Charlene Sandridge, 87, of Tampa, Fl., passed peacefully into Gods Eternal Kingdom November 12, 2008. She was surrounded by her loved ones great niece Robin S. Carpenter, her husband Steven J. Carpenter, her great, great nieces, Savannah J. Carpenter and Caroline C. Carpenter of Tampa, Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Belva Wiseman, brother Edgar Wiseman, sister Veta Stanton, and her husband Wayne Sandridge.

Sity was born in Marceline, Mo., August 23, 1923, and lived in Perry, Ga., and Independence, Mo., before moving to Tampa, Fl., in 2003. A true southern lady she devoted her life to being a homemaker. Sity is survived by her sister Wanda Stein of St. Joseph, Mo., niece Terry Doocy and husband Tim of Edmond, Ok., niece Debbie Fizer of Kansas City, Mo., niece Connie Weston of St. Joseph, Mo., nephew Melvin Stanton of Springfield, Mo., great niece Candy Pearson and husband Rick of Wellsville, Kan., great nephews Chance Clements and wife Cindy of Raymore, Mo., A.J. Shank and wife Theresa of Independence, Mo., and great, great nieces McKenzie and Cayle Clements, and Taylor Gentry and husband Josh. The family will receive friends 1:00- 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 21, at Rupp Funeral Home. A funeral mass will follow at St. James Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 South Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Fl., 33609 or LifePath Hospice, 3010 West Azeele Street Tampa, Fl., 33609.
