Mercedes Delgado, a longtime resident of North San Isidro passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
Mercedes was born in North San Isidro on September 2, 1924 to the late Magdalena Coca Sandoval and Pablo Sandoval.
Mercedes was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Magdalena Sandoval, her spouse, Cirilio Delgado and sons, Paul Delgado and Daniel Delgado. Mercedes is also preceded in death by her brothers, Conception Gonzáles, Lazaro Sandoval, Rosendo Sandoval, Jacobo Sandoval and Cayetno Sandoval and her father and mother-in-law, Elosia and Rudolfo Delgado.
Surviving Mercedes are her children, Patricia Delgado (Chabelo) and Anna Delgado (Merejildo) all of North San Isidro, her grandchildren, Crystal Delgado, Victoria Pérez, Berna Pérez, Isidro Gonzáles (Anna), Daniel Gonzáles and Lawrence Gonzáles, great-grandchildren, Paul Delgado Jr., Jorge Cedillo, Paul Pérez, Marcelo Cedillo, Cassandra Gonzáles, Nathaniel Gonzáles and Michael Gonzáles, great-great-grandchildren, Alijah Cedillo and Liam Cedillo, brother-in-law, Lorenzo Delgado (Frances), sisters-in-law, Angelina Via and Sister Martha Delgado and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services for Mercedes are as follows, viewing from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. George Salazar on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at North San Isidro Labrador Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the North San Isidro Labrador Cemetery with Isidro Gonzáles, Daniel Gonzáles, Lawrence Gonzáles, Paul Pérez, Jorge Cedillo and Marcelo Cedillo serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Merejildo Aragóon and Chabelo Mariscal.
