Bertha Belle Allen, age 96, of Van Buren, AR died Saturday, August 11, 2001 in Van Buren. She was born June 15, 1905 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Alfred and Carrie Lowrance Sanders. She was a retired waitress for the Booneville Sanitarium, a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Grover Alverson and her son husband, Thomas Allen.
Survivors include, two daughters, Juanita Kittler, Van Buren, AR and Carrie Osburn of Sallisaw, OK; brother, Terrel Lowrance of Porterville, CA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Graveside service was August 14 at the Birta Cemetery in Birta, AR with Pastor Harold Lee Gilmore officiating. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR.
