Mrs. Anne D. Salisbury, 83, former resident of Lewiston, died Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane.
Mrs. Salisbury worked as a telephone operator, a real estate broker and managed the Idaho Hat Shop at Moscow for several years. While at Lewiston, she operated a boarding home for Normal School students. For the last 26 years she had lived at Pullman, most recently sharing a home with a daughter, Esther Salisbury, Pullman.
She was born at Colburn, Colo., March 28, 1885, the daughter of William and Lora Stites. While a young girl she moved with her parents to Dayton and from there they moved to Puyallup, Wash.
She was married to Herbert L. Salisbury at Puyallup Nov. 27, 1910. Their first home was at Shelton, Wash., and from there they went to Caldwell, Ida., where they farmed for several years. He died in February, 1941.
She is survived by 11 children, one son dying in infancy.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home at Spokane with burial at the Pullman Cemetery.
