Mrs. Barker died at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born to Clyde and Martha Salinas. She lived in Palestine for 20 years coming from Irving.
Dotty was a Baptist and a member of Lone Pine Baptist Church. She was a retired registered nurse and occupational nurse for AT&T Telephone Co. She loved volunteering at the Multi Cultural Center for many years. She loved animals and was well loved by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M. D. Barker; her parents; three sisters, Sarah Reiff, Louis Greer and Linda Whitaker; two brothers, James Salinas and infant Wells Salinas.
She is survived by daughter, Pam Malicoat of Dallas; brother, Arnold Salinas and wife Winona of Bryan; sister, Nita Landrith of DeKalb; and several nieces and nephews.
