Marjorie Sales, 92, of Clarissa, passed away on October 6, 2014. Funeral services for Marjorie will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will be held at Woodman Cemetery, Clarissa.

Marge was born November 7, 1921, in Mount Rose, to Walter & Minnie (Snodgrass) Gilson. Marge and her family moved to Burno where she grew up with her eight siblings. Marge moved to Brainerd, where she met William Sales; they were married June 24, 1942. Marge & Bill lived in Clarissa on a farm where they raised four children; moving into town in 1966. Marge worked at Land O’Lakes in the packing plant wrapping butter, waitressed, helped on the farm and was a CNA at the Central Todd County Care Center.

Marge and Bill traveled all over the United States either by bus or pickup and camper. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing bingo & cards. Marge volunteered her time at the church and the Senior Citizen Center.

Marge is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, son Billy Sales Jr., 2 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, and siblings: Howard Gilson, Roy Gilson, Iris Hasting, Nina Dandl, son-in-law George Steidl and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
