BETTENDORF -- Claudienne V. Sales, of Bettendorf, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 at home. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Per her request, there will be no visitation or services. Runge Mortuary is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Donald Sales, P.O. Box 104, Pleasant Valley, IA 52767. Claudienne was born October 24, 1936, in Davenport, to William and Blanche (Ensley) Van Pelt. She married Donald M. Sales Sr., May 3, 1952, in Centerville, Iowa, USA. He passed away July 27, 1987. She attended Davenport schools. She retired from Jumer's Castle Lodge after thirty years. Previously she was employed at the Valley Inn for Fran Devlin. She was a lifetime member of the Oriental White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was also a member of the Girl Scouts of America as a leader for many years, the American Red Cross, and the General Baptist Church. Those left to honor her memory include son, Donald M. Sales, Jr. (Vickie); daughter, Debra L. Moeller (Robert) both of Bettendorf, a daughter, Roxanne Parks; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Garnett Wies and Blanche Rauch; and a brother, Forest. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, two brothers, and a beloved best friend of thirty five years.
