Olga S. Bilinski
Age 89, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2010.
Olga was born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late George and Kathryn Sagan. She and her family moved to Delaware when she was very young. Olga grew up in Yorklyn, DE, before moving to the city of Wilmington as a teenager. She married Michael Bilinski in 1940, who preceded her in death in 1993. Olga was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann's Sisterhood of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She was quite accomplished at knitting, sewing, and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, George, Andy, and Steve; 3 sisters, Ann, Mary, and Helen; and her oldest son, Michael J. Bilinski in 2008. She is survived by her son, Stephen Bilinski (Geri), daughter, Carol Purse (Wayne) all of Newark, daughter-in-law, Barbara Bilinski, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care provided to Olga by the nurses and caregivers at Windsor Place and Compassionate Care Hospice.
The Service of Divine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2009 at 10:30 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1406 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 where friends may call after 9. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, or Compassionate Care Hospice, 702 B Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, DE 19805.
