EMMA H. STEWART

Mrs. Emma H. Stewart, 78, a Manitowoc resident for over 50 years, died suddenly Saturday morning at the Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Dr. C. H. Phipps will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born Emma Jacobs in Winchington, Mass., in 1873 and in 1893 was married at Seattle, Wash., to William Stewart. A short time later they located in Manitowoc.
For many years Mrs. Stewart was a chiropractor having an office at the home, 910 South Seventh St. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Mr. Stewart died this year.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Christensen of Madison and Mrs. Oscar Gunderson of Manitowoc; son, Walter of New London, Wis.; a half brother, Harry Arnold of Seattle; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon, where Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
