Catherine Barrington

Catherine M. Barrington, 83, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Catherine was born on January 13, 1920, in La Crosse, Wis. to Edward and Margaret (Ritter) Ryan, Sr. She graduated from La Crosse Aquinas High School. She married Kenneth Barrington Sr. on May 10, 1941, in La Crosse. Kenneth died in January 1989.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith (James) Hagen of Conroe, Texas and Nancy (Larry) Balow of Eau Claire; one son, Kenneth (Patricia) Barrington Jr.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Krueger of Kansas City, Kan.; one brother, Edward (Elizabeth) Ryan Jr. of La Crosse; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth, Sr.; one brother, Robert; two sisters, Marjorie Zemblo and Mary Ellen Dockham.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Eugene Klink officiating. Entombment will in the Chapel of Resurrection, Calvary Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family suggests memorials be directed to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, 421 Graham Ave., Eau Claire.

Golden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
