Born June 23, 1942 in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Potosi Mallet Rutter. Linda was a bartender most of her working life.
She was employed and Joplin Elk's ;odge no 501. She also did house cleaning in private homes. She loved going to Grand Lake and was a true dog and cat lover.
Survivors include her son, Lance Bacon and wife Klista of Carterville Mo. her brother Ed Rutter and wife Mary of Phoenix Ariz. and several nieces.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Joplin Elk's Lodge is hosting a memorial visitation at 3;30 p.m. Sunday. Private interment will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joplin Humane Society.
