Marilyn Jane Wolfe Ruton, age 73, of Newark, passed away on July 13, 2014 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family and friends. Jane was born in Newark, Ohio on February 6, 1941 to the late James and Sophia (Anderson) Decker.

Jane was a basket weaver with Longaberger Basket Company until her retirement in 2002 and was known by her co-workers and friends for her tireless energy. Jane enjoyed making ceramics, but most important in her life was spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Wolfe of California; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Scott Devoll of Newark; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard Decker and Roland and Rosemary Decker; sister, Barbara Lane; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Leonard Lenny Wolfe; brothers, Bill, James and Harry Decker; and sisters, Betty Porter and Valeria Sherman.
