Mrs. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Alvin B. Bell, children; Timothy E. (Candace) Bell and Christopher B. (Tiffany) Bell of Springfield and Michael C. Bell of Aiken, grandchildren; Terri (C.J.) English, Brent Bell, Shelby Ann Bell, Stephanie Amber Bell, Holly Galvan, and Hunter Bell, great grandchildren; Cameron English, Olivia English, Christopher Bentley Bell, and Christian Bell, and sisters; Susie (Billy) Thomas of Ehrhardt, Verna Mae Padgett and Doris (Robert) Ayer of Bamberg, and Norma Bell of Salley.
Mrs. Barbara was born in Bamberg, SC, the daughter of the late Marvin and Marie Russell. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Barbara retired in 2004 from Aiken County Public School District after 17 years serving as a bus driver and aide with special needs children. She loved her family, taking trips to the beach, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she wasn't caring for her grands, she enjoyed cross word puzzles and playing the piano.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 pm in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2 pm Saturday in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Penland and Gareth Hegler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bell will be placed in the church an hour before the service for viewing.
Pallbearers will be Brent Bell, C. J. English, Dr. John Bass, Jimmy Bolton, Ronnie Gunter, and Mark Humphreville. The family would like to thank the staff of Trininty Hospice for their care and compassion.
