Winifred's obituary says she was born in 1876 "at Cherry Tree, in Crawford County." A little research of Crawford County, PA, indicates Cherrytree Township has been in Venango County since 1822.

Mrs. Winifred Russell
WARREN—Mrs. Winifred Eberhart Russell, 78, 209 Jackson Avenue, widow of J. H. Russell, died at 11:19 P.M. Sunday at the family residence. Born May 17, 1876 at Cherry Tree in Crawford County, she had lived in Russell before coming to Warren in 1925. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Irene Russell at home; Mrs. Howard Miller of Philadelphia; a son, Carl H. Russell of Philadelphia; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband preceded her in death 10 years ago.

Removal was made from the Peterson Funeral Home to the family home, where services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, the Rev. Roger Morey, pastor of the E.U.B. Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Russell.
