Pauline L. Ruff, 89, of Parkersburg died April 14, 2005, at The Arbors of Marietta.
She was born at Grantsville, W.Va., the daughter of the late Gordi and Bertie Hathaway VanHorn. She was a retired legal secretary with the law offices of Yoke and Yoke for 42 years; a graduate of Belpre High School, class of 1934; attended Bowling Green University; and was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Ruff and his wife, Phyllis, of Louisville, Ky., and Gary L. Ruff and his wife, Carol, of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Christina Whytsell, Jenifer Allen and Traci Sheppard; two step grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Ruff in 1971; a sister; and four brothers.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Parkersburg, with the Rev. James Kinsler and Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.
