Elisabeth Rothrock was the fifth of eleven known children of Peter Rothrock (1746-1829) and Catharina Mueller Rothrock (1749-1803), who married 09 Oct 1770 at York, York County, Pennsylvania. The family moved to North Carolina in 1771, setting in or near Friedberg, a Moravian Community. Friedberg is located on the present day Davidson-Forsyth County, North Carolina line; but in 1771 it was on the Surry-Rowan County line, North Carolina and Surry become Stokes in 1789 and Forsyth in 1849 and Rowan became Davidson County in 1822.

Elisabeth married Jacob Greber/Greter in c1795 at presumably Stokes County (now Forsyth), North Carolina. The family later changed the spelling of the surname from Greter to Craver. Jacob was born c1775 in North Carolina and died before 1850. Elisabeth and Jacob were the parens of two known chilren, namely:

1. Jacob Craver (1795-1881)
2. Mary Craver Long (???-c1842/50).
