Herman Henry Rothove, 74, Westphalia, died July 10, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Folk, a son of Herman H. Sr. and Regina Scheppers Rothove. He was married May 7, 1952, in Folk, to Mary Ann Brester, who survives at the home.

He attended Catholic schools in Westphalia and Folk. He was a carpenter. He worked 20 years for Truman Walker Construction Co.; six years for Hubert Rothove Construction Co.; seven years for Bernard Altheuser Construction Co.; and seven years for Donald Strope Construction Co. He retired in 1990.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, and the Men's Sodality.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Doris Boes and Peggy Fechtel, both of Westphalia, and Carol Rothove, Jefferson City; three sons, John Rothove, Westphalia, Steve Rothove, Jackson, Mich., and Bill Rothove, Frankenstein; two sisters, Florence Feltrop and Dorothy Even, both of Westphalia; one brother, Rudolph Rothove, Folk; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice, 1440 Aaron Ct., Jefferson City, Mo. 65101; or to Masses.
