Obituary (Wednesday, March 16, 1966)

Mrs. Eliza Lydia Hadley, 66, of 605 8th, died Tuesday afternoon at her home of natural causes.

Mrs. Hadley was born Nov. 16, 1899, in Bear River City, Utah, a daughter of William James and Matilda Marie Peterson Rose.

She resided in Bear River City as a girl and in Ogden most of her life.

On June 2, 1920, she was married to Herbert Hadley in Salt Lake City. They received endowments in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 25, 1938.

She was a member of the LDS Eighth Ward and had been a Primary and Sunday School teacher and visiting teacher in the Relief Society. She had served on the Ben Lomond Stake Primary Board and was a genealogical and temple worker.

Surviving are her husband, one son, Ralph H. Hadley, Roy; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (LaRue Rose) Farley, Ogden; 11 grandchildren; one brother, William (Bill) Rose, Ogden; six sisters, Mrs. Fred (Ann) Timmerman, Mrs. Earl (Amelia) Weston, Mrs. Ellis (Ellen) Wilde, all of Ogden; Mrs. Daniel (Nettie) Christensen, Bear River City; Mrs. Melvin (Elaine) Burbank, Deweyville; Mrs. Ronald (Edith) Lavoie, Laguna Beach, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Glen H. Teeples of the Eighth Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
