AVEY, Ardis Geraldine, age 88, a resident of Clawson for the last 55 years, died March 15, 2013 at her home. She was born August 16, 1924 in Detroit to the late Emanual and Anna Ropp.

Mrs. Avey was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed square dancing with the Clawsonaires. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Herbert G. Avey; the couple married July 10, 1954 in Bad Axe, MI; children Warren (Gail) Avey and Karen (Larry) Topor; grandchildren Kristine (Shane) White, Chad (Kristen) Avey, Jessica Topor, Julie Topor and Jennifer Topor and great- grandchildren Landon Avey, Elyse Avey and Celia White. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

The visitation will be Wednesday 12 p.m. until the time of the service 3 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road (4 blks. E of Woodward), Royal Oak.
