Albert Romsa, 89, retired farmer of Burns, died Sunday morning at 6 a.m. at the home of his son, Severt Romsa, at Burns. He had been ill since last February. Death was caused by the infirmities of age.
Romsa was born in Bergen, Norway, in 1851 and came to the United States with his parents when he was four years old. He first lived in Iowa, and moved to Wyoming in 1919. His wife died in 1930 and since that time he had made his home with his sons.
He is survived by six sons, Jacob, Severt and Albert, all of Burns, George and Martin of Albin and Joseph of Lusk. He also had another son, Gus Romsa, a Cheyenne resident and at one time a sheriff of Laramie county, who died in 1938.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 at the Schrader funeral home with the Rev. R. T. Caldwell officiating. Romsa's sons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in the family plot in Lakeview cemetery. The Schrader funeral home is in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 20, 1940)
