Longtime Sparrows Point and Edgemere, Maryland resident Virginia B. McGehee died on March 20, 2004, three weeks before her 93rd birthday.

The former Virginia Rollins married fellow Virginian Mack A. McGehee Sr. and moved to Sparrows Point, Maryland when she was 18 years old.They lived in Sparrows Point for more than 50 years before moving to Edgemere in the mid-1970's.

A quiet person, she devoted her life to her family. Crocheting and embroidery were her favorite pastimes.

She is survived by her daughter Frances Lowery of Charlesmont, son Allen McGehee of Edgemere and son Mack A. McGehee Jr., two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1977.

The Rev. David Erickson of Watersedge Baptist Church conducted services March 23, 2004 at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Maryland. Interment followed at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
