Joe Rogers, 68, Shepola Community, died Monday at his home after an illness of seven months.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sardis Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Jesse Davis and the Rev. Earl Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Whitis Cemetery.

He was born in Faubush on July 15, 1901. His parents, Frank and Coloda Weddle Rogers, are both deceased. He was married on Jan. 1, 1926, to the former Ruth Molen, who survives.

He had lived in Pulaski County all his life, was a farmer, and a member of the Sardis Chapel Methodist Church.

Other survivors include seven children, Geneva Branscum, Somerset, Rt. 2, Regenia Barker ......illegible...... Frank Rogers and Billy Rogers, all of Nancy, and Anna Simpson of Somerset; three brothers, Charlie and Willie Rogers of Nancy and John Rogers of West Somerset, and two sisters, Grace Todd of Somerset and Mollie Trimble of Nancy.

Somerset Undertaking Co. is in charge of arrangements.
