Mrs. Crews Dies Today
Mrs. Willie Mattie Crews, wife of J. P. Crews of Experiment, died in a Rome
hospital early this morning following a brief illness. Mrs. Crews is survived by
her husband, three sons, Terry Crews of Piedmont, Ala., Alvin Crews of
Sylachauga, Ala., and Hugh Crews of Griffin; five daughters, Mrs. J. B. Kelley,
Mrs. W. D. Shivers, Mrs. Frank Shivers, all of Griffin, Mrs. T. W. Boyd of
LaGrange, and Mrs. A. J. Jordan of Augusta; five brothers, Sam Rodgers, Preston
Rodgers, Guy Rodgers, and J. P. Rodgers, all of Griffin, and
Lee Rodgers of Forsyth, 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the East
Griffin Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Lee Waldon, Pastor, and the
Rev. J. J. Stephen's officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with
Haisten Brothers in charge.
