Ethel Berkey was born April 21, 1872 in Hebron, Neb., where
she grew to womanhood and taught school for several years.
In 1897, she came to Calif. with her family. After graduating from Los Angeles Normal School, which later became UCLA, she resumed teaching, having a school in Topanga Canyon. There she met and was married to Joseph B. Robison.
After living for several years on his ranch there, they moved to Merced, coming to Buena Park in 1915. Mr. Robison passaway 20 years later, in 1935.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Irma Payton, Bertha Spohn and Albert Robison of Buena Park, Florence Porter of Phoenix, Ariz., Mable Payton of Wallace, Idaho, and Lewis Robison of Reseda; a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Berkey Miller of Van Nuys; nine grandchild
ren and 15 great-grandchildren.
