ROBERTSON

William Homer Robertson, 88, of Centerville, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital Extended Care Center.

He was born in Wright Township, Wayne County, Iowa to Andrew W. and Rosa Taylor Robertson on Jan. 18, 1901. On Jan. 29, 1936 he married Clara C. Clapham in Centerville. She preceded him in death in 1976.

He lived in the Confidence area most of his life before moving to Centerville in 1959. He farmed and, along with his brother, Dewey, owned and operated the Robertson General Store in Confidence for many years. He was a member of the Sunnyslope Church of Christ in Confidence.

Survivors include one niece, Dorothy Green, and a nephew, Dean Green, both of Centerville; one great-niece, Carol Green, and a great-nephew, Bruce Green, both of Centerville; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Leta Green, and one brother, Dewey.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson-Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Burial was in the Confidence Cemetery in Confidence.
